Desertification

Drought

The most widely accepted definition of desertification, globally, is provided in the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification. Here, it is defined as land degradation in (climatologically defined) arid, semiarid and dry subhumid areas resulting from various factors, including climatic variations and human activities.
